Andersen Cheng
CEO and co-founder of Post-Quantum; former JPMorgan European Head of Credit Risk Management and founding member of LabMorgan, later COO of Carlyle Group's European venture fund and CEO of UK crypto provider TRL; also founder of Nomidio.
Andersen Cheng trained as a chartered accountant with Deloitte & Touche, specializing in computer security and audit, before moving into finance at JPMorgan. He founded Post-Quantum in 2009 with Martin Tomlinson and CJ Tjhai after becoming convinced — years before it was mainstream — that quantum computers would eventually break RSA/elliptic-curve encryption, building the team around practicing engineers rather than academic cryptographers. He later spun Nomidio, a biometric/passwordless identity venture, out of Post-Quantum's key-splitting R&D. He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Management Science from Imperial College London.
