In October 2025 he partnered with Banca Ifigest, via its Soprarno SGR subsidiary, to merge Soprarno with Mip into L&B Capital SGR, a roughly 2 billion euro platform where he is Chairman/President and a principal shareholder of Banca Ifigest. He is also active in renewable-energy investing through the Italian Renewable Resources (IRR) private equity fund. Italian financial press describes him as the son of the late Gian Marco Moratti, who led the Saras oil-refining group until his 2018 death, and grandson of the historic Angelo Moratti who founded Saras and owned Inter Milan in the 1950s-60s (d. 1981). The family sold its remaining Saras stake to Vitol in 2024 and said it would pivot toward tech investing.
