Dr. Cornelius "Conny" Boersch is a German serial entrepreneur and technology investor who earned his doctorate in 1998 from the University of Essen with a thesis on venture capital. He built his first company, Sabeco GmbH, as a student, growing it into ACG AG, an RFID/smart-card firm that listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in 1999 and later spun out Smartrac and Identiv. From 1995 he built an angel-investing portfolio of 400+ companies (including Alando.de/eBay Germany, Lieferando, and the Scout Group) and was named European Business Angel of the Year in 2009. He co-founded Mountain Partners AG (2004) and Conny & Co. (2019), and more recently founded Mountain X, a venture fund backing European aerospace and defense technologies with dual-use potential. From 2002 to 2012 he also advised former German Vice-Chancellor and Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle.
