George Osborne is a Founding Partner of 9Yards Capital, a venture and growth fund focused on foundational industries including cyber/defense. He is the same George Osborne (full name George Gideon Oliver Osborne) who served as UK Chancellor of the Exchequer from 2010 to 2016 and First Secretary of State from 2015 to 2016. After leaving frontline politics he was Editor-in-Chief of the London Evening Standard, a Partner at boutique investment bank Robey Warshaw LLP, and an adviser to the BlackRock Investment Institute (2017-2021). He currently also serves as Senior Managing Director at Evercore, Chair of the British Museum, Chair of Lingotto Investment Management LLP, Co-President of the Northern Powerhouse Partnership, and a visiting professor at Stanford University. He received the Companion of Honour in 2016.
