Gustav Wiberg trained as an industrial designer, earning a Bachelor's in Industrial Design from Konstfack (Stockholm) in 2014, with an exchange stint at Art Center College of Design (Pasadena). In 2019 he co-founded Katla Aero, a Swedish eVTOL/aerial-vehicle manufacturer, where he serves as co-founder and chairman. He went on to co-found Nordic Air Defence in 2024 alongside Karl Rosander, Rudolf Nordstrom, and Oskar Heiwe, a Stockholm-based counter-UAS company building low-cost drone interceptors (the K100XR) to give Europe a domestically-produced drone-defence supply chain. As of mid-2025 Nordic Air Defence had raised roughly $4.4M in pre-seed funding.
