Jan Goetz

Trained as an experimental physicist in superconducting quantum circuits, earning a PhD from the Technical University of Munich (2017) with research at the Walther-Meissner-Institute. Co-founded IQM Quantum Computers in 2018 as an Aalto/VTT spinout, became CEO in February 2019, and took over as sole CEO from January 2026 after IQM dissolved its co-CEO structure.
