He founded Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT) in 1994, which became NASA's second-largest engineering services contractor before its acquisition by KBR, and has since founded Intuitive Machines (lunar payload services) and X-energy (nuclear power). Prior to SGT he held technical/management roles at Lockheed Martin, Ford Aerospace, and Loral, and holds undergraduate degrees in computer science and electronics engineering plus an M.Sc. in information management.
