Luis Sentis is a professor in UT Austin's Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, where he leads the Human Centered Robotics Laboratory and holds the General Dynamics Endowed Faculty Fellowship. He co-founded Apptronik in 2016 and serves as its scientific advisor, having previously led UT Austin's DARPA Robotics Challenge effort with NASA Johnson Space Center to design and test the Valkyrie humanoid robot. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
