Omer Bar-Ilan spent six years (2009–2015) leading an algorithms team at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, working on Iron Dome, before moving to Check-Cap Ltd., an Israeli medical-device company, where he co-authored research (2017) on its ingestible x-ray capsule for colorectal cancer screening alongside Check-Cap's own founder/CTO. In 2019 he co-founded Lynxight, an AI-based aquatic risk-management company that analyzes standard pool security-camera feeds to detect drowning risk, and led it as CEO through 2024.
