NAREW (Polish mid-tier air defence programme)
Poland's mid-tier, CAMM-ER-based mobile air-defence programme, sitting between the upper-tier WISLA and inner-tier PILICA+ systems, implemented by the PGZ-NAREW Consortium with MBDA technology transfer.
NAREW is designed to close Poland's mid-altitude air-defence gap against cruise missiles, combat aircraft, and other advanced airborne threats beyond 40 km, forming the middle layer between the long-range WISLA and short-range PILICA+ systems in a fully integrated, all-domain shield over Polish airspace. Executive contracts signed September 2023 between Agencja Uzbrojenia and the PGZ-Narew Consortium call for delivery of Narew battery components from 2027 to 2035, including over 1,000 domestically produced CAMM-ER missiles and 138 iLaunchers, with a dedicated CAMM-ER production/service facility at Zielonka slated for completion by 2028.
