XPRIZE Quantum Applications
$5M XPRIZE competition (launched March 2024, backed by Google Quantum AI and GESDA) challenging teams to develop practical, near-term quantum computing applications with real-world impact; Phasecraft is a named finalist.
A three-year, $5M competition (2024-2027) challenging teams to develop novel quantum algorithms and applications targeting real-world impact in health, climate, fusion/energy, and materials science, judged on projected impact, quantum-resource feasibility, evidentiary strength, and novelty. From 133 initial submissions across 31 countries, 7 Phase I finalist teams (including Phasecraft) were named in December 2025; a subsequent Wildcard round drew 62 more submissions, adding 5 wildcard finalists in May 2026 to join the finalist cohort. A $3M grand prize winner is due to be announced in early 2027.
